We take revenge. Seeking retribution is the essence of vindictive. Teens are frequently out of control and incapable of doing their best work. The term "vindictive" came about because I was seeking retribution, but I quickly realized that the real purpose of wanting revenge is to conquer one's fear and rise beyond one's previous day.
